Metal One Tubular Connections

Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) used for developing and producing oil, gas and geothermal energy are connected to each other with threaded connections.

Metal One is the first trading company to develop its own connections for OCTG, and we have been supplying them to customers across a wide range of regions.

First trading company to develop connections for OCTG in-house

There are numerous types of connections for OCTG that vary according to the depth and pressure of the wells where they are used. They can be grouped as premium and API connections. Premium connections are used for deep wells where the pressure is high. Japanese steel manufacturers as well as the world’s top manufacturers have been developing and using their own brands of premium connections. Meanwhile, API connections are those that meet American Petroleum Institute specifications.

Metal One’s exclusive connections, known as Metal One Tubular Connections, were first developed by Metal One technicians in the 1990s to meet various customer needs. Metal One took continuous efforts to improve API connections and resulted in creation of semi premium connections with high performance at low costs.

Special features

GEOCONN

GEOCONN

GEOCONN connection, designed for use in geothermal development projects, has pin to pin abutment structure that is superior to API connections. They are also used in harsh environments such as shale development and horizontal drilling.

FLUSHMAX

FLUSHMAX

FLUSHMAX connection offers high-strength performance at a reasonable cost, even though the internal and external diameters of the threaded portions are identical to the pipe itself and it requires no couplings.

SUPERMAX

SUPERMAX

Unlike API connections, SUPERMAX connection does not require upsetting at pipe ends and still provides high-strength performance at low cost. SUPERMAX connection also provides sufficient clearance within the inner wall of casings.
